AE
How much extra stroke does it provide?
When the internal bushing of this piece gets in contact with the plate, the mechanism starts working. From that point, the ejector of the AE goes at double stroke. The maximum extra is:
  • 8mm (0.315”) of extra stroke, with the AE031620 and AE041620.
  • 15mm (0.591”) of extra stroke, with the AE052430, AE062430 and AE082430.
  • 20mm (0.787”) of extra stroke, with the AE103036 and AE123036.

  • Can the AE be installed directly below the injection point?
Its is not recommended as the injection pressure could damage the AE internal mechanism.

    EP
How many parts must be placed in the mold?
It depends on the mold size and configuration and complexity (more or less lifters, the size of the lifters or the stripper plates, etc..) . However, we do recommend placing an even number of pieces, in a symmetric manner, generally 4 pieces.

What is the maximum ejection speed of the tool?
The maximum recommended speed is of 30 meters (98.24ft) per minute.

Are there any important application details?
Springs shouldn’t be used to return the ejection plates to molding position, as the springs will always be delivering load upon the EP’s when the tool is ejecting, if it is too high, the EP’s will break due to fatigue.

GS.421024 can be used in 3- plate molds up to 1000 x 1000.

How many parts should a tool have?
CUMSA recommends using 4 units in each mold, which are evenly spaced and symmetrical.

Can the GS’s function as a double ejector?
We don’t recommend it, the movement of the ejection plates is harsh and suffer a high load, due to all the mechanisms attached; contraction of the plastic parts, ejectors, lifters, stripper plates, etc. .. .

    How does this part work?
It consists on a hermetical closure that is achieved thanks to a pressure difference of a spring. For this reason, it is imperative that the channel evacuating water (plus the fitting) is bigger than the entrance; or water could remain in the system and both surfaces (ceramic and graphite) would not be in contact.

Are there any important application details?
Do not remove the reduction of the bronze pipe, as it ensures that there is no high pressures built up in the water circuit, avoiding leakage.

What to do when I don’t achieve depression in my cavity?
When we don’t achieve depression it means that the cavity isn’t hermetically closed. This can happen due to tools that have a lot of lifters and/or cam slides where closing the cavity hermetically is difficult. When this happens a solution is to apply more than one VACUUM JET (VJ), this will increase the suction power. In order to have vacuum in a cavity we need to be able to take more air out than is coming in, this can be achieved when multiple VJ’s are applied in order to compensate the air that is coming in.

    Which are the insert requirements?
The faces of the insert must be parallel to each other, and a mechanical stop must be machined into it. In addition, at least 1/3 of the insert must remain inside the housing during the ejection process.

    XR
If we do not want to use the extension, which is the thread of the vertical shaft?
  • For the XR34: M9x0,75
  • For the XR40: M12x1
  • For the XR46: M16x1

  • CG604075
Is only one lateral guide on the cam enough?
Yes, as the base will align with the cam slide perfectly, the guide is only to keep the cam slide in position.

What is the slide retainer made of?
It is a magnetic disc with a stopper that will hold the cam slide in position when the indent made by the customer on the cam slide aligns with it.

    CG864857
What load can the adjustable heel support?
  • CG603035 – 180.000N / 18.356 Kg (40.419lb)
  • CG604035 – 320.000N / 36.712 Kg (80.839lb)
  • CG754049 – 320.000N / 36.712 Kg (80.839lb)
  • CG604075 – 480.000N / 48.950 Kg (107.787lb)

  • How much can I adjust the heel?
    Maximum 1.00mm (0.039”)

What stroke is achievable with the Heel Unit?
It depends on the angle pin that is used:
  • GI010075 – 12mm (0.472”)
  • GI010090 – 15mm (0.590”)
  • GI010105 – 18mm (0.708”)

    DE
What load can the DE support?
    11767.20N / 1200Kg (2642.40lb) per unit.

What is the maximum ejection speed of the tool?
The maximum recommended speed is of 30 meters (98.24ft) per minute.

    FV
Is there any limitation on the position of the valves in the mold?
The valve should not be installed below the injection point. In that position the high temperatures and pressure could negatively influence the valve components and decrease their lifetime.

Can I remove the valve from the tool?
Yes, on our catalogo page we indicate the size of the hole (E dimension) to be made before installing, the valve can then be removed using the appropiate ejector.

What is the maximum air pressure that can be used?
    10Bars (145 psi).

Where can I find a Vacuumjet System user manual?
Download here the NEW User Manual for the Vacuumjet System!

What is the maximum working temperature?
    80°C (176°F).

    RCM
Does the part have different hardness in different sections?
Yes, the part as a whole has 45 ± 2 HRC, but on the friction area, it is induction hardened up to 58 ±2 HRC to avoid wear.

Can more than one piece be applied in a cam slide?
    Yes.

What is the maximum working temperature of the RCM’s?
The maximum working temperature is 150°C (302°F).

Yes, on our catalogo page we indicate the size of the hole (E dimension) to be made before installing, the valve can then be removed using the appropiate ejector.
On the smaller diametres (5 & 6) extra care needs to be taken to remove the part slowly, knocking softly to avoid damage to the internal mechanisms.

    VV
Is it possible to machine the top of the valve in order to shape it to the core geometry?
No, as the inner piston isn’t keyed to the body.

Is it possible to shorten the stroke/opening of the VV-SET, which is of 2.50mm (0.098”)?
Yes, by cutting the tube shorter, this will decrease the opening.

What is the maximum working temperature?
    150°C (302°F).
